Our first novella...

             OUR PICTURE(S) HERE?

Our first novella.

Not only are novellas shorter than novels but also they are not so complex. You may have read: Animal Farm by George Orwell, The Old man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway, Breakfast at Tyffany's by Truman Capote, The Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess, or perhaps Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad (my favourite, I must admit) among many others.

Now it's your turn to write your own fiction.

  1. WORK COLLABORATIVELY.
  2. Discuss the model of narrative in class.
  3. Choose a title, number and names of chapters.
  4. Look up a picture for a good cover.
  5. Adapt the beginning of the story (already on G-doc)
  6. Start thinking it over, DO NOT WRITE YET, we'll have enough time.
  7. Each of you is supposed to write two entries preceeded by your name, so that I can trace your participation. You have to read your mates' interventions and continue the story.
  8. Should you find something that has to be edited in your mate's entries, feel free to do so. Be polite and check before editing.
  9. I'LL LET YOU KNOW WHEN TO START WRITING AND DUE DATES.
